Innovative head impact monitoring system to sponsor Washington’s largest youth sports organization

TUKWILA, Wash. (April 3, 2014) – Washington Youth Soccer, the largest youth sports organization in the state and one of the leading proponents of sports concussion awareness and prevention in the country, has partnered with Triax Technologies to become the official head impact monitoring system of Washington Youth Soccer.

The partnership will highlight Triax’s head impact monitoring system aimed to protect athletes so they can better perform in school and on the field.  Technology for smarter, safer athletes, Triax is a powerful and precise training tool that monitors head impacts with accurate sensors.  Through a simple headband and app, the athlete, family, coach, trainer and doctor can access data to monitor the frequency and force of head impacts.  This revolutionary system keeps players in the game by encouraging the coaching of better techniques for helmeted and non-helmeted sports.

“Triax Technologies is excited to partner with Washington Youth Soccer as they have been the leading youth sports organization in keeping youth athletes safely on the field,” said Founder and CEO, Dale Hollingsworth.  “This partnership marks the first head impact monitoring technology adopted by a state youth sports organization in the country.  At Triax, we believe we are all on the same team; what is best for kids is best for sports.  The better we protect them, the better they perform, in school and on the field.  We enhance the game through measurement and keep the sport moving.”

“Washington Youth Soccer has been at the forefront of concussion awareness and prevention for over five years, and we are committed to providing young athletes the safest environment possible,” said Terry Fisher, Washington Youth Soccer CEO.  “Triax shares our goal of keeping players on the field and is dedicated to player safety so that our youth can achieve the highest performance in athletics and academics.”
