This past week, the Board of Directors for Washington Youth Soccer made some changes in their board leadership. Previous board President, Daren Mancini, with mutual agreement, has resigned from the board. The decision was effective last Friday, Feb. 3, 2017.
Daren has served Washington Youth Soccer for the past four years, leading initiatives like Player Fee reductions, WYS Association organization streamlining, player safety, including recent crumb rubber alternative research, and our Statewide RESPECT campaign, driving respect throughout the game. The WYS board and staff would like to thank Daren for his many years of service
Board Vice President, Dan Popp, has agreed to fill Daren’s position as Acting President until such time as the board has the opportunity to formally elect new board officers. Dan is also President of the recently formed Washington Youth Soccer Foundation.
