Washington Youth Soccer runs several State-level programs to meet the needs of our players at all levels of the game across the state and to encourage more players to join our beloved sport.
Comprised of nearly 400 talented players, a highly qualified coaching staff and administrative team, the Elite Player Development (EPD) program serves as the training ground for Washington’s most elite youth soccer players. Through the EPD program, we holistically develop players who will have the technical and tactical skills combined with the creativity to compete at the highest levels. The Washington Youth Soccer/Sounders FC EPD program will develop male and female elite athletes ages 10-17 years old from all communities across our state. Our objective is to create a precise learning environment for the education and progress of each and every selected player.
Soccer for Success is the U.S. Soccer Foundation’s innovative youth development program that uses soccer as a tool to combat childhood obesity and promote healthy lifestyles for children in low-income urban communities. The Soccer for Success program provides each school three 90 minute after-school sessions for two twelve-week seasons.
TOPSoccer is The Outreach Program for Soccer. Based on US Youth Soccer’s model, TOPSoccer brings training based programming to players 4 years of age and older who have cognitive and/or physical disabilities.
The Soccer in Schools program provides curriculum and support for Clubs and Associations to bring soccer and healthy lifestyle education into their local schools, providing more kids with soccer opportunities.
Soccer Across Washington was created to create soccer opportunities in underserved communities. The program provides a network that offers soccer training, administrative guidance, equipment assistance, and technical support to our communities.
