Statement on USSF mandated rule changes

Over the past year, Washington Youth Soccer has been involved in discussions with our parent organizations, the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) and US Youth Soccer, regarding potential mandated rule changes to the youth soccer structure. At the USSF Board Meeting held July 5th, the USSF Board of Directors approved the Player Development Initiatives developed by, and proposed previously by, the National Coaching Staff.

Washington Youth Soccer announces Kim Calkins as State Technical Director

Washington Youth Soccer Teams Up With Seattle Reign

Beginning in 2015, the Seattle Reign and Washington Youth Soccer will work together to further grow the game of soccer in Washington state by offering ticket discount sales to membership, State Cup player appearances, camps, and coaching education. Washington Youth Soccer reduces player fees for 2015-2016

Washington Youth Soccer, the largest youth sports organization in Washington, is pleased to announce that state player registration fees will decrease for the 2015-2016 seasonal year. Approved by the Washington Youth Soccer Council at the Annual Player Fee Meeting in January, the reduction in player fees will allow local clubs and Washington Youth Soccer member associations to reinvest at the grassroots level and continue to make the game more accessible to the community.

Spring Coaching Education Courses Announced

Washington Youth Soccer will hold U.S. Soccer Federation ‘E’, ‘D’ and ‘C’ licenses throughout the state with 13 courses scheduled through May. Washington Youth Soccer has a coaching education program designed to meet its player development guidelines and the curriculum laid out by US Soccer, with education opportunities ranging from the new volunteer coach just starting out to those pursuing the highest licensing in their field.
